The innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh will no longer sit back and have our right to justice and truth continually denied us by those in positions of political power in Northern Ireland. The numerous promises of action and movement we received in recent months in relation to resolving our current funding impasse have delivered absolutely nothing. It is now patently evident there is an un-willingness by those in positions of political authority to address this particular issue. The question has to be asked, why? That question must also be answered immediately and publicly. There was direct political interference in relation to our funding. The OFMDFM were behind the decision to withdraw funding from the victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh. It must be made clear and noted - FAIR has not been found guilty of any wrongdoing in respect of funding matters.
However, unlike Republican, Colin Duffy, we have not been afforded the opportunity to defend ourselves. FAIR has been and continues to be denied the right to have this matter addressed openly and to have these scurrilous allegations leveled against us withdrawn. That is an appalling indictment of those in authority and further proof, should it be needed, of the political conspiracy that exists to have FAIR silenced. The innocent victims of IRA terrorism have been abandoned by those in government. Our concerns have been brushed aside and deliberately ignored. The government simply wants us to shut up and go away. However, the message of the innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh and other areas of Northern Ireland remains loud and clear – we are not prepared to allow this crucial matter to remain unaddressed.
We are also staging our ‘Walk for Justice’ on Saturday 25th February 2012. Walkers will retrace the route take by the Kingsmills minibus on the night 10 Protestant workmen were slaughter by IRA gunmen on 5th January 1976. Further public protests will take place in the coming weeks. We, the innocent victims of the campaign IRA genocide have remained silent too long. We were silent during the 36 years when the IRA relentlessly butchered our community. Now, when we are supposedly in a new era in Northern Ireland, we are still expected to remain silent even though we, the innocent victims, are now being subjected to ‘political butchery’. However, we will not be humiliated any longer. We have the right to justice, truth and equality. We are being denied those issues and parity of esteem by the political establishment in Northern Ireland. That is not only discriminatory it is in flagrant breach of our basic human rights. It is now patently evident those who defended justice during the IRA’s 36 year-long campaign of genocide paid the highest price. They still continue to pay the highest price today. However Enough is Enough. We the innocent victims of IRA terrorism will not be deterred or demoralised by government procrastination. We will continue with our campaign to obtain justice, truth and parity of esteem. We have fought our case for 36 years – we will continue to fight our case until we achieve our stated objectives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 30th Jan 2012
MARCH FOR JUSTICE
We are able to confirm that our London delegation will be attending the "March For Justice in South Armagh" on Saturday 25th of February 2012 in support of the KingsMill families.
We are very much looking forward to being with the KingsMill families again who have endured unimaginable suffering as a consequence of their loved ones being brutality murdered by evil men. We will be with the families of KingsMill in South Armagh and will also be attending be the KingsMill memorial site to place a tribute as a show of solidarity with them due to their continuing fight for justice to bring these brutal evil men to trial. It is vital that justice is obtained for those innocent people who were so brutally killed. We are determined to do all we can to ensure that justice prevails and those responsible are held accountable. Due to the absolute horror that took place on the 5th of January 1976 we must and will ensure that justice prevails as to ignore this evil act would be undoubtedly a crime against humanity.
Due to our Association's extensive work with all innocent victims and their families we will also be attending other engagements to discuss our final stages of compensation for all the victims of Libyan sponsored terrorism that caused unimaginable pain and suffering to all people throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland. "We are very much looking forward to being with the families of the KingsMill again who were massacred by evil men. This abomination was an act of unprecedented evil. Due to my many meetings with the families of the KingsMill I have been so overwhelmed with their continuing desire to obtain justice. We in London are with them as evil undoubtedly prevails when we people do nothing. The DVA is going to continue to do all it can to gain justice for these families as their loved ones were so brutally murdered."
Mr Jonathan Ganesh
"I have enormous sympathy with the KingsMill victims and other families of terrorist atrocities that have killed countless innocent people. We must ensure that these innocent people such as my brother Inam who was also brutality killed in London are never forgotten. These are all truly innocent people of all different religions, creeds and colours who must be supported by us all and our government."
Mr Ihsan Bashir ------------------------------- Our Right To Justice And Truth Must Be Upheld This coming weekend sees yet another commemorative Bloody Sunday march take place in Londonderry. Those organising and taking part in what they are calling the ‘March for Justice’ have cited a lack of prosecutions and the alleged high level cover up of what took place in Londonderry on 30th January 1972 to vindicate their decision to continue with the Bloody Sunday issue. In excess of £200 million pounds has already been spent on the Saville Inquiry which addressed the Bloody Sunday issue openly, publicly and in the form of a written report. The Bloody Sunday issue has been addressed – fact!
By comparison the concerns voiced by the innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh have been deliberately ignored or swept aside. There have been no £200 million pound inquiries initiated by the authorities into any of the atrocities perpetrated by IRA terrorists in south Armagh. Atrocities such as the Kingsmills massacre - where 10 protestant workers were shot dead by IRA gunmen – remain unaddressed. Weapons used by IRA gunmen at Kingsmills have been linked to numerous IRA terrorist murders. Many of these murders took place within a 10 mile radius in south Armagh. Tullyvallen Orange Hall killings, Darkley Mission Hall murders - concerns over all these appalling sectarian murders remain unaddressed and there is no indication this situation will change.
The innocent victims of south Armagh have been denied, and continued to be denied, their basic human rights – justice and truth. There has been no recognition of what we have endured and suffered for almost four decades. Justice – as far as the authorities are concerned - is the sole prerogative of one section of the community. Truth is conspicuous by its absence in south Armagh. What price peace?
But, we the innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh have had enough. For years the authorities have deliberately ignored our concerns and denied us justice and truth. We are not prepared to tolerate this situation any longer. This deliberate lack of official action has left us no alternative but to raise our profile through a series of public events. The first of which – the ‘Walk for Justice’ – will take place on 25th February 2012 when innocent victims will walk from Glenanne to the site of the Kingsmills massacre. Walkers will follow the exact route taken by the workers minibus on the night of 5th January 1976. The response to this initial Victims event has been significant and shows the depth of support that exists for our public awareness campaign Details of further public events will be released shortly.
Our Walk for Justice is not solely confined to the innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh. There are many similar innocent victims throughout Northern Ireland all of who continue to suffer injustice. All innocent victims are welcome to join with us as we walk from Glenanne to Kingsmills on 25th February 2012.
We, the innocent victims of IRA terrorism cannot and will not be denied justice. That is one of our basic human rights. Justice must not only be done, it must also be seen to be done!

The current political process has left victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh feeling totally neglected and re-victimised. During the past two years there has been a concerted effort to destroy our victim’s network in this area. As a direct result of this process we, the victims, have been left with no other alternative but to fight for justice ourselves and to organise a series of events to heighten public awareness of what exactly took place in south Armagh throughout the Troubles.
The first of these events will take place towards the end of February 2012 when victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh will walk the route taken by the Kingsmills massacre minibus 36 years ago. The walk will begin in Glenanne at the site of the old factory where the Kingsmills victims were employed. Walkers, who will include relatives of the Kingsmills victims, will then follow the route taken by the factory minibus on 6th January 1976 until they reach the site where he 10 protestant workmen were shot dead by IRA gunmen. Walkers will carry banners and photographs of the Kingsmills victims and other innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh.
The objective of this particular event, and others to follow, is to make the public aware of the continuing injustice and suffering endured by the innocent victims in south Armagh. It is disgraceful to talk about moving on when behind the scenes we, the victims, are being attacked and re-victimised by the current actions of Sinn Fein/IRA. However, we are not prepared to lie down and accept such treatment. Unfortunately we have to take the steps outlined above to highlight this injustice which is a violation of our basic human rights. Yes, we all want to move on but our right to justice cannot and will not be ignored. We, the innocent victims will not be silenced. In excess of £300 million pounds was spent on the Bloody Sunday Inquiry. Now another group has been established to press for the prosecution of soldiers involved in Bloody Sunday! Money appears to be no object for this issue. Meanwhile, we, the innocent victims of IRA terrorism in south Armagh, have to attend our meetings wearing overcoats and scarves because we don’t have the money available to us to pay for a fill of oil! So much for equality and parity of esteem! However, despite the lack of heating, the number of people attending our meetings has increased significantly in recent weeks. That shows the character and determination of the FAIR membership to achieve its stated objectives.
The Dublin government has now chosen to ignore our many requests to meet with them to discuss the matters of collusion and the Irish state allowing the IRA to use the Republic as a safe haven before and after launching terrorist attacks against Northern Ireland. As a result of this snub, we the innocent victims of IRA terrorism, announce our next step is to return to and protest on the streets of Dublin. We have done so before and we will do so again. They Irish government must remember: ‘we haven’t gone away you know’ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evidence exists to arrest untouchable IRA killers who committed the Kingsmills massacre
Sadly, despite the passing years, there is still no proper memorial stone erected to those who were butchered in what was one the worst sectarian incidents in the history of the 'Troubles'. For the past two years FAIR has endeavoured to have a proper memorial erected at the site of the Kingsmills massacre but, because of FAIR's ongoing funding issues - which remain unresolved - we have been unable to have a fitting memorial put in place. The families of those who died at Kingsmills have themselves offered to pay for the memorial. However, as victims these families should not have to pay for any memorial, it should be financed by people in the community. Sadly this year, 2012, some of the Kingsmills family members who had hoped to see a memorial to their loved ones put in place will not be with us at the memorial service. As victims we feel we have let these people down by failing to ensure there wishes were fulfilled. However, one way or another, this year a proper memorial will be put in place to record the sectarian slaughter of Protestants that took place at Kingsmills, south Armagh. If funders wish to continue pumping money into terrorist affiliated groups in south Armagh then so be it. We will not allow justice or the memory of those who died to be sold out at any price!
Indeed, FAIR now has sufficient evidence to justify arrests and prosecutions in many cases. This evidence is based on fact not heresay. William Frazer, wishes to reassure the Kingsmills families before the end of 2012 a memorial will be in place at the site of the massacre. FAIR will also continue to fight for equality and justice for the innocent victims of IRA terrorism. Indeed, FAIR now has sufficient evidence to justify arrests and prosecutions in many cases.
This evidence is based on fact not heresay. |
