Irish Government Collusion - Extradition Warrants 1971-1980:
Unanswerable Evidence for Irish Government Collusion
Following is a summary of the outcome of the 80 warrants for terrorist
offences forwarded to the Republic of Ireland by the RUC between 1971 and 1980.
Of these 80 warrants only 1 resulted in an extradition taking place. 4 were
pending a decision as of 1980, 1 was in prison in the Republic, with 57 warrant
either refused or withdrawn due to refusals. 17 were arrested in the United
Kingdom.
This extradition track record exemplifies the continued attitude of the
Government of the Republic to this issue of terrorism during the height of the
troubles. It demonstrates clearly how Irish Government Officials allowed the
Republic to be used as a safe haven for Terrorists. Reasons given for not
extraditing these criminals are very enlightening as to the attitude of Irish
Governments toward Republican terrorism. Politically motivated crimes clearly
are justified to them, indicating complicity with the aims and principles of
these terror groups.
Other reasons given include such as there being no comparable offence in the
Republic for activities such as planting incendiaries and escaping from custody.
These are disgraceful reasons and further evidence for the Irish Governments
attitude of complicity.
By justifying and protecting these criminals from legal proceedings in the
UK, Irish governments have been guilty of collusion with Sinn Fein/IRA. The
facts speak for themselves:
