After passing on the information I received to the police I still await definitive action by them. The delay is of concern to myself and many others in South Armagh who want to see these murderers caught and convicted. In any case of this nature time is of the essence as evidence can be destroyed, suspects covered or allowed to escape and vital forensics destroyed. We now call upon both the PSNI and Garda to leave no stone unturned.
However I feel that if action is not taken and those individuals which I have named are not arrested and questioned I will have no other option but to have them named in Parliament. I have already briefed a number of politicians from a number of parties who are willing to raise this matter under Parliamentary privilege. Having taken legal advice I feel that this is the best course of action to ensure action at this time.
It is our obligation to ensure that those who continue to believe they have the right to murder and maim to further their agenda where political or criminal are wounded and harried. They must be exposed – named and shamed. It is now time for the people of South Armagh to reject these individuals and finally relegate them to the past.
FAIR as a group comprised of victims will work tirelessly to ensure such attacks are stopped.
