Tell the Truth!

It comes to the attention of F.A.I.R. that Alan McQuillan's estimate of 600 million, is a gross under-estimation. It has also been noticed that he believes the blame lies with gangsters and criminal elements. It is unfortunate that he fails to state that these gangsters and criminals are also top-ranking Republicans. The people being investigated are long known for their high-ranking position within the Republican movement. These Republican gangsters have full control in the South Armagh region and security forces seem powerless to regain that control.

If policing of South Armagh is "normalised" as other areas of Northern Ireland, then why do security forces still need to be flown into that region. For example, there was fire today at a property belonging to a member of the Murphy clan in South Armagh. Fire engines had to be backed up by army, who were flown in to offer support. Does this sound like normalised policing?

If the PSNI would place more emphasis on clamping down on these Republican gangsters who are costing the taxpayer millions then maybe the police could take control of South Armagh once more. It is time that the government gave the resources that are needed for the security forces, to deal with this huge problem. F.A.I.R. will be watching with interest to see how the government deals with these Republican gangsters. The recent inability of the government to regain control in South Armagh does nothing to reassure victims of Republican violence that they are safe in that area.
