FAIR Opposes Amnesty For 'On The Runs'

It has come to the attention of FAIR that plans are soon to be announced regarding an amnesty for those terrorists who are still on the run from the law. These plans, part of an agreement made between the local Unionist politicians, Sinn Fein and the British Government, have been in the apparently been in the pipeline for several years and are of great concern to the membership of the Markethill based group.

FAIR spokesperson William Frazer is outraged. 'The Government may think again if they expect these plans to go into operation. We will take this matter to every politician and court in the land, we will take it to Europe, we will not stop until every avenue is exhausted. This proposal must be nipped in the bud immediately'.

'How does the Government think the victims will react knowing that their tormentors are free to roam without remorse, punishment or justice' he continued, 'How are we expected to explain this to the family with the empty chair at the table or the children with no father to play with.'

FAIR calls on all politicians to vehemently oppose all such plans, now and in the future. Don't let the Government and Sinn Fein/IRA trample on the memories of those who died at the hands of terrorists.
