FAIR Travel To Westminster

Delegates of FAIR will travel to Westminster tomorrow to lobby Labour, Conservative and Liberal MPs on the 'on the runs' issue. Tony Blair's ministers claim that approximately 60 persons would be affected by the new OTR legislation, yet FAIR will put forward that this is an deception made by the government to make the issue more palatable to the public. The true figure will be several hundreds.

It is obvious that Tony Blair and Peter Hain have never had to meet those who murdered and maimed their loved ones in the local shops or on the high street. One ponders the question whether those affected by 11th September attacks could stomach Osama Bin Laden freely walking their neighbourhoods without reproach. It is unlikely that any other Government in the western world would force such an injustice on the victims of terrorist acts.

Delegates have also scheduled meetings with a senior London law firm to investigate potential legal challenges both national and European, to these amnesties. A meeting with Amnesty International is also in the pipeline to research their position on the proposed legislation.

FAIR are determined that this insulting amnesty be stopped. Appeasement to terror must stop. If the Government ignore us then they are stating that innocent Protestant and Catholics right to justice are expendable to pave the way to buying off the IRA.
